Sunday's Readings (2nd Sunday on Ordinary Time Year B)
Now the Lord came and stood there, calling as before, ‘Samuel! Samuel!’ And Samuel said, ‘Speak, for your servant is listening.’ (1 Samuel 3:10)
Then I said, "Behold, I come; In the scroll of the book it is written of me. (Psalm 40:7)
The Lord told me to follow Mary's example in the adoration room
"I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her. (Luke 1:38)

| Slow and Steady |
Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy.
They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder.
It'd really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment.
They expect you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then usually decide against it. |

A MEDITATION
-By Cardinal Newman-
God has created me to do Him some definite service; He has committed some work to me which He has not committed to another. I have my mission - I may never know it in this life, but I shall be told in the next.
I am a link in a chain, a bond of connection between persons. He has not created me for naught. I shall do good, I shall do His work.
I shall be an angel of peace, a preacher of truth in my own place while not intending it - if I do but keep His Commandments.
Therefore I will trust Him. Whatever, whenever I am, I can never be thrown away. If I am in sickness, my sickness may serve Him; in perplexity, my perplexity may serve Him; if I am in sorrow, my sorrow may serve Him. He does nothing in vain. He knows what He is about. He may take away my friends. He may make me feel desolate, make my spirits sink, hide my future from me - still He knows what He is about....

Mother of God
Posted by Picasa
"And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? (Luke 1:43)"
Mary did you know, That your baby boy, will one day walk on water?Did you know,That your baby boy will save our sons and daughters?Did you know,That your baby boy has come to make you new? This child that you've delivered,Will soon deliver you.
Mary did you know,That your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?Did you know,That your baby boy will calm the storm with his hand?Did you know,That your baby boy has walked where angels trod? And when you kiss your little baby,You've kissed the face of God.
Oh, Mary did you know? The blind will see,The deaf will hear,The dead will live again,The lame will leap,The dumb will speak,The praises of the Lamb.
Mary did you know,That your baby boy is Lord of all creation?Did you know,That your baby boy will one day rule the nations?Did you know,That your baby boy is heaven's perfect Lamb? This sleeping child you're holding,Is the Great, I Am.
"Holy Mary, Mother of God, Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death!"
